Air Oil Separators for Name Brand Compressors
When a running motor is used to compress air, the heat it creates can cause oil vapor to be released. It’s never a good idea to have combustible vapor outside the engine casing, inside the tank, or running through the lines of the compressor. This may result in costly damage to the unit, and it may also cause serious injuries to anyone nearby. In addition, the oil vapor creates a film inside the lines, which may build up and eventually clog the entire system.
Fortunately, a component has been invented that fits into air compressors known as an oil separator. As air travels through the air compressor oil separator, it removes the oil from the air and sends it back to the engine or to a receptacle that must be periodically emptied and cleaned. If you’re having a problem with oil inside the lines or the tank of your compressor, you may need a replacement separator, but be sure to order the correct type. An air oil separator for a screw compressor is not the same as other oil separators. Contact one of our experts if you have any questions!
